Batting Problem solved

Thank you all for replying to me with tips on the batting problem! I since put it in the dryer after spraying it a bit with water. I then placed it flat for the night. It worked out quite well, with the exception of one small area. Well, you can see how I solved that problem. I had to cut a piece out...the acces bulk to be exact. So the quilt is now ready to get quilted...

But I am not really that enthusiastic about the quilting anymore, so I will let the quilt rest once more...

So today will be Crazy Quilting Day... Posted by Picasa

Good going Barbara !
I think you should bring the photo of the bad batting where you bought it and also send it to Hobbs for a possible refund.
Your embroidery sample is cute. You could make a quilt from them, if you make more and frame them with quilting fabric.
I have grown into like blogline a lot, but still thinks I will often leave short and sweet comments like - Lovely quilt, sweet block, cute cat - whatever - as even if it takes less time to get to the good stuff on the blogring (yes !!) I am not always very verbal on any given day.
I appreciate even the shortest comment when I get them on my blog - always :-)

Too bad that you had to resort to that, Barbara but good that you could selvage what you said was expensive batting. (I guess all that has to be imported so that would add to the already not cheap price.)

I'm glad the batting problem is solved. It's never happened to me, but I'm glad to learn the solution in case it ever does. Thanks for bringing it up. Jen

That was seriously ugly batting, and I do hope you send a picture to the manufacturer, as a service to future people who buy that type of batting. Glad you were able to get it to work out. Now that you have your problem worked out, the rest of the quilting should be trouble free. I do hope you get the motivation to finish it. Otherwise, you will have to roll or fold the batting again, and that doesn't sound all that promising.

Glad you solved the batting problem. I'll have to remember what you did in case I have any batting problems. Nice stitch sampler. Good for a reference when your mind draws a blank.
